Brainstorming ideas: No one is coming to save us. Mobilizing for change.
What are the next steps?
Hi Everyone,
My recent article, “The Climate Change Narrative is the most dangerous piece of fiction ever created” received a huge amount of attention. No…not from the mainstream media - don’t be silly - they’re not interested in the truth. The positive feedback came from regular people like you and me who are deeply worried about our climate.
I think we can finally agree that the elite-controlled “mainstream” is at best a distraction and at worst an obstacle to a stable climate.
Their goal is clear - to protect the predatory capitalist system that has enriched them at the expense of everything and everyone. And that’s good to know - because it means that we can stop hoping to be rescued. No one is coming.
If we want to save our climate then we’re going to have to put our hope where it belongs - with ourselves.
Let’s start brainstorming!
I propose a forensic look at capitalism - a conversation that is long overdue.
Questions (answer 1 of both - whatever you like)
1) At what point do we accept our past failures, and instead of doing more of what has proven to be ineffective, but familiar, we try new and more daring strategies. For example here in Canada, we must accept that the Green Party over the last 2 decades has failed to drive “meaningful” political change. It was a valiant effort but it failed and it’s time to shut it down. We need to get creative and find new ways to harness the energy of those 2 million voters.
2) How do we mobilize the masses? What kind of civil disobedience will be most effective? What can we learn from Extinction Rebellion? How do we build on it? Can we establish massive economic boycotts? How do we ensure maximum effect with the lowest chance of violence? Can we drive the necessary changes without big money or the elites - of course we can. Let’s hear your ideas.
Remember - no one is coming to save us - it’s up to us!
Warm Regards,
Brad
