Good to call this out. Since these billionaires give hollywood and the media their paychecks, it's hardly surprising that MSM won't call them out.

Since we're systems people, I'm going to add a second effect of these billionaires. They make money because their businesses sell throw-away products to the bottom 60-70%. Spending money on shoddy goods that have to be continually replaced is keeping poor people poor. It's also filling the landfills with raw materials that are rapidly depleting and using energy for little gain.

I confess, it's also creating hoarders among the responsible people who don't want to landfill. I have piles of broken or obsolete electronics that I'm still trying to find a way to recycle where I know they will actually recycle and not just send overseas to a landfill.

Barbara, all the garages across the world don't come close to the damage done by billionaires.

Sorry, to be unclear. I agree totally about the billionaire damage.

I'm adding an indictment. They have addicted the bottom 60-70% to conspicuous consumption of cheap, quickly broken or obsolete bling. It's lowering their standards of living and making them less economically robust. (while also stuffing landfills)
