Brad you are correct about the issues. I would add 3 things. 1. Wealth and greenhouse gas emissions go hand in hand; 2. Strategic thinking, computers and harnessing the power of machines generates wealth. In this process, cheap fossil fuels allow this to be possible; 3. Mass production of food using artificial fertilisers, chemicals and heavy machinery have depleted soil biology and carbon which has gone into the atmosphere. This system also contributes strongly to the greenhouse warming affect and needs a major overhaul, quickly.
